his progressive vision made the famous serpente lamp. it was very innovative for its time because of the materials used. plastic with white painted metal was still very unusual. his foresight is easy to trace. his father already had a company in lamps and had a good education, design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. The Martinelli luce company really grew into a phenomenon in 1950.
