Adding a vintage designer table to a space can be a beautiful option but it will also give you additional functions and help organize things in your home. Side tables

Any design table that stands to the side of a piece of furniture can be considered a side table. Usually there are found in living rooms, family rooms or around a sofa or chair. It can be found on either side of a bed  but than hese are generally referred to as nightstands. The standard sofa arm height is approximately 24 inches tall, this means that a side table should be similar in height.

Stone or glass side tables are perfect for holding drinks since coasters aren’t needed,  antique wood tables are great for books or lamps. Coffee tables

Coffee tables are the final piece to the design puzzle. Depending on the height of the chair, the sofa, a coffee table should be between 16 to 20 inches in height. Consider the amount of  space before choosing the perfect coffee table, the ideal distance from to the edge of the seat the edge of the table is 18 inches, and the perfect distance for the room’s passageway is 30 inches. Oval coffee tables can be a great fit for a family with children, since there are no safety issues or corners to watch out for. A wooden coffee tables can add a specific warmth to a space, a glass-top coffee tables tend to be looking less bulky. To add a unique feel to a room, try a vintage coffee tables.

Dining tables

When picking outa dining table, shape and size must be the first thing be considered. Depending on the amount of people eating around the table and the size of the room, consider a round versus a rectangular dining table. To dine comfortably the table mustn’t be too high, that’s why most dining room tables tend to be 28 to 30 inches high. Vintage drop leaf dining room tables are perfect for small spaces, as the leaves can be lowered from either side in order to tuck the table away.

Console tables

Console tables are usually standing at 30 inches tall, try using a console table in the dining room as a center piece bar. A glass console table would work perfectly because spills can easily be wiped off. Such a piece can also be the perfect addition to any bedroom. Add a stool, chair, lamp and vintage mirror to a wooden table, and viola, a beautiful setting is born
